Chicks Galore!
The children (staff and parents) have been so excited watching the chicks hatch this week. So far we have seven chicks but more are hatching! The first one hatched on Wednesday morning and when we left last night there were four. The chicks are different colours depending on whether they are male or female, so the boys are white and the girls are brown.
When they have hatched, and have taught themselves to stand, we move them in to a brooder box. This box has a light in it to keep the chicks warm and food and water.
We hope you enjoy the pictures and can see how quickly the chicks grow and develop. We will put up more videos/pictures after the weekend so that you can spot the changes.
