COVID-19 EXTRA TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Home/Nursery Agreement Addendum

This is a copy of the Coronavirus Terms and Conditions which are to be read in conjunction with the Contract and Terms and Conditions documents. These will be in place from 1st June 2020.

These terms and conditions are in addition to the main terms and conditions and have been added in light of the coronavirus covid19 pandemic of 2020. All existing terms and conditions remain in place unless specifically noted below.

By bringing your child into nursery you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Amendment to Terms and Conditions

  • Children with symptoms on the current NHS or PHE list of coronavirus covid19 symptoms will not attend nursery under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to, the need for Calpol (or similar) to control a temperature. You must inform the nursery manager if your child is absent due to covid19 symptoms. Adults with covid19 symptoms will not enter the nursery site at any time.

  • We encourage all households to get tested if they have symptoms of the coronavirus covid19. Test results MUST be shared with nursery staff.

  • If any child or member of staff receive an official NHS covid19 POSITIVE test then that child’s bubble will be closed for 14 days. During those 14 days all children and staff from that bubble must self-isolate.

  • They may come out of isolation early if they have an official NHS covid19 NEGATIVE test.

  • Due to the shared responsibility for social distancing and good hygiene practices between nursery and families, closure due to a POSITIVE official NHS covid19 test during this 14 day period will be charged at the usual rates. This enables our Nursery to continue to be financially viable during this pandemic. This change is necessary as no nursery insurer will cover any nursery for business interruption due to covid19 related closure.

  • Nursery will confirm via email and Tapestry any closures due to isolation periods and reopening dates.

  • All isolation periods for covid19 can be found on the NHS website.

Additional Terms and Conditions:

These are in addition to the Terms and Conditions in the main document and including the amendments above.

  • All families and staff members will follow all guidelines released by the Government regarding covid19. In particular all families, family members and staff members will follow the social distancing guidelines.

  • As of the 27th May this currently includes not socialising or visiting with people who do not live in your house except you may meet one individual in an outdoor public place at 2m distance.

  • No children attending nursery will be also cared for in another childcare setting. By sending a child to our nursery you are confirming that your child has only been cared for by members of their household and us. Children of separated parents have two households.

New procedures for attending nursery are in place and must be followed.

We need to be honest with you and state categorically that we are unable to Socially Distance children of this age and therefore cannot guarantee your child will not get Covid-19. The reason childhood illnesses spread so rapidly is because children are unable to stay away from each other

Watcombe Childrens Centre Nursery reserve the right to refuse admittance to any child from any family who are not following the Government guidelines. This refusal to admit a child may happen in person at the main door, and the period of non-admittance will be confirmed by email within 24 hours of a verbal refusal. Refusal to admit a child to a chargeable session does not mean that session will not be charged for.
